Dziękuję wszystkim za niesłabnące wsparcie, odkąd rozpocząłem ten projekt nieco ponad cztery lata temu. Ten film ma rzucić światło i zachować pamięć o artystach i fanach metalu w rozdartej wojną Syrii. Kręcono go od połowy 2013 do końca 2014 roku. Film nie jest bynajmniej obszerny; został nakręcony telefonem komórkowym i lustrzanką cyfrową. Produkcja, podróże, filmowanie i montaż były minimalne i wykorzystywały metody DIY. Było to przedsięwzięcie osobiste, a więc naturalnie ograniczone do moich własnych zasobów. Materiał filmowy i projekt podróżowały ze mną przez różne kontynenty, począwszy od Syrii, a skończywszy na Algierii, Turcji, Grecji i Holandii. Nosiłem go ze sobą, gdy ubiegałem się o azyl, i to utrzymywało mnie przy życiu, mimo że byłem całkowicie pozbawiony zarówno chęci, jak i środków, aby kontynuować. Sam Zamrik wierzył w projekt od samego początku jego koncepcji i jego możliwych skutków w przybliżeniu tej małej, uciskanej społeczności syryjskiej. Pracował nad językową prezentacją filmu, w tym wywiadami, tłumaczeniami i kreatywnym pisaniem. Dzięki crowdfundingowi naszym przyjaciołom ze Szwajcarii udało się zebrać wystarczającą ilość pieniędzy na sprzęt do montażu i dokończenia filmu. Po sfinalizowaniu filmu chciałem zgłosić go na międzynarodowe festiwale, ponieważ przyniosłyby one artystom największą ekspozycję. Zamierzony czas trwania wynosił dwie godziny, ale ze względu na standardy festiwalowe skróciłem go do półtorej godziny. Mimo to nie zostało to zaakceptowane. Po kilku próbach zdecydowałem się przybliżyć film widzom; Tych, którzy są naprawdę zainteresowani, którzy nas przekazali i wsparli, a także tych, którzy występują w filmie. Film jest już dostępny na YouTube. Jest dostępny dla każdego za darmo. Teraz należy do ciebie i do tego, co z nim zrobisz. To powiedziawszy, z całego serca przyjmiemy darowizny na rzecz filmu, w przeciwieństwie do sprzedaży biletów lub jakichkolwiek dochodów. Na koniec mamy nadzieję, że film przypadnie Wam do gustu.
