Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day - that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road - selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late.

Removed from the debate is the only thing that MIGHT save us: getting a grip on our out-of-control human presence and consumption. Why is this not THE issue? Because that would be bad for profits, bad for business. Have we environmentalists fallen for illusions, "green" illusions, that are anything but green, because we’re scared that this is the end—and we’ve pinned all our hopes on biomass, wind turbines, and electric cars?

No amount of batteries are going to save us, warns director Jeff Gibbs (lifelong environmentalist and co-producer of "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Bowling for Columbine"). This urgent, must-see movie, a full-frontal assault on our sacred cows, is guaranteed to generate anger, debate, and, hopefully, a willingness to see our survival in a new way-before it’s too late.

Featuring: Al Gore, Bill McKibben, Richard Branson, Robert F Kennedy Jr., Michael Bloomberg, Van Jones, Vinod Khosla, Koch Brothers, Vandana Shiva, General Motors, 350.org, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sierra Club, the Union of Concerned Scientists, Nature Conservancy, Elon Musk, Tesla.

The only people thumbing this down are those with too much pride to admit they have been suckered.

I disagree and THUMBS DOWN YOU... for shaming others who have a view... without someone like YOU not paying attention to other more important matters than worrying about what others think about you... or what others do... What others think about me is none of my business. Having you on my "team" is not value added, because you simply report Much Ado About Nothing... the MOOT! Do you attend matters and constantly look at your watch or out the window or this, that and the other? Do you have focus... or ADDHD? Hail Christ I AM!

The comment left by the poster is idiotic. "Climate change" is total bullshit and this film exposes what it is really about ... control and making money.

It is not "Climate Change"! No! It is Symptoms within the "Climate" that one who is 50 or so older would be able to appreciate! Hail Christ I AM! \o/

Climate change is not the problem as humans are not having much of an effect on that. The real problem that makes what we are doing right now unsustainable is consumerism. We are actually purposefully making things that quickly break and/or become obsolete so that we can throw it out and get a new one. This is insane. It is a problem with capitalism that could perhaps be solved by government (as much as I'm against big government) by making regulations that incentivize things being made to last. For instance, back in the beginning of electricity being delivered by utility companies they were also responsible for changing light bulbs in a person's house if it broke as part of their service. This incentivized making light bulbs last as long as possible and as a result light bulbs made back then lasted really long. Then when they stopped doing that consumerism took over and light bulb companies started making bulbs that would break down quickly so that they could sell more. There's a website of one of those bulbs that has been burning for 117 years!: https://www.centennialbulb.org/

dastrev: "Climate change is not the problem as humans are not having much of an effect on that. You elucidate that the real problem is what we do with our resources... yet fail to recognize that the SYMPTOMS of the CLIMATE are pointing in a direction that very soon there will be no resources for you to blame. A conundrum Does that make sense? Hail Christ I AM! \o/
